Hafidh, certified Qari with authentic Ijazat, dedicated to preserving the tradition of Quranic mastery
As-salamu alaykum. I'm Ibrahim Syed, and my journey with the Quran began the way many huffadh start — as a young student memorizing with determination, sometimes struggling, always striving.
What set me apart wasn't natural talent, but a deep commitment to mastery — to not just memorize, but to understand, to not just recite, but to perfect. This is the spirit of Al-Itqan (الإتقان) — excellence, precision, and the relentless pursuit of doing things properly.
After completing my Hifz in 2017, I didn't stop. Through the tawfiq of Allah, I was blessed with opportunities to study under exceptional scholars — Dr. Muhammad Fouad Abdulmajeed and Dr. Moaaz Safwat. Mastering Tajweed wasn't quick or easy; it took years of dedicated effort, countless hours of practice, correction, and repetition to reach the level where I could receive Ijazah.
And even now, the learning continues. I remain under the guidance of Dr. Moaaz Safwat, deepening my knowledge of Tajweed and Qira'at, because true mastery is a continuous journey. I don't consider myself a scholar — I'm a student who has been blessed to learn from masters of this sacred knowledge. My goal is to pass on what I've been taught with the same care and precision my teachers showed me, guiding serious students who want mastery, not just completion.

Launched Al-Itqan Institute to provide premium, personalized Quranic instruction to serious students seeking mastery.
We believe that the Quran deserves to be recited with excellence. Not just memorized, not just read, but mastered — with precision, beauty, and deep understanding.
Too many students rush through Hifz, complete it with errors, and never return to perfect what they've memorized. This doesn't honor the Book of Allah. At Al-Itqan Institute, we do things differently.
"إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ إِذَا عَمِلَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَمَلًا أَنْ يُتْقِنَهُ"
"Verily, Allah loves that when one of you does something, he perfects it."
— Hadith
We teach students who are ready to perfect their recitation. Although years have been spent mastering Tajweed to the point of receiving Ijazah, we recognize that we're still students ourselves — continuously learning, constantly refining and deepening our understanding.
This journey of learning never ends, and that's exactly what we want our students to embrace. Mastery isn't a destination; it's a continuous process of striving for excellence, always recognizing there's more to learn, always seeking to improve.
This is not a quick process. It requires dedication, humility, and consistent effort. But for those who commit, the reward is immense — not just in this life, but in the next.
