The pursuit of knowledge in this tradition never truly ends. Learning, refining, and deepening one's understanding is a lifelong pursuit.
Al-Itqān was established on the conviction that authentic Qurʾānic instruction is a trust to be carried. Every student who enters this program is taught the way scholars have taught for over fourteen centuries: one instructor, one student, one session at a time.
We do not rush students. We build them.
The Qurʾān was revealed to the Prophet ﷺ and transmitted to his Companions with precision and care. This chain, the Isnād, has been preserved unbroken for over fourteen centuries.
The science of Qirāʾāt was systematised by scholars who dedicated their lives to preserving the Qurʾān with exact precision. Among the most well-known are the ten Imāms of Qirāʾāt: Nāfiʿ, Ibn Kathīr, Abū ʿAmr, Ibn ʿĀmir, ʿĀṣim, Ḥamzah, al-Kisāʾī, Abū Jaʿfar, Yaʿqūb, and Khalaf. Each carried a verified chain back to the Prophet ﷺ, and their narrations remain the basis of authentic recitation to this day.
These chains of transmission did not end with the classical era. Living scholars today carry the same verified Isnād, continuing to teach and transmit the Qurʾān with the same care and precision it has always demanded. Al-Itqān's lead instructor continues to study under such scholars, keeping the chain alive and unbroken.
Knowledge is passed here the way it has always been passed — from teacher to student, in private, with care, with accountability, and with a living chain connecting every lesson back to the Prophet ﷺ. That is what a student receives at Al-Itqān.
We do not rush students through material. Mastery is built through repetition, correction, and patience — not through checking boxes or advancing prematurely.
Every Makhraj, every Ṣifah, every rule is given its full due. Our standard is the precision the Qurʾān deserves.
